One Search is able to search across both electronic resources and physical items owned by Maricopa Libraries. The following describes strategies for focusing search results to meet specific needs by setting various combinations of facets for your search.
"Facets" are the options located in the left column that allow you to focus your results in specific ways.
"Items" refers to physical items owned by a library such as books and DVDs.
"Check or uncheck" indicates that the setting of the facet does not affect the outcome of the search, allowing it to be ignored when setting up the search.

One thing that will look a bit quirky happens when an item is in the lost or missing status. These items are still known for searching purposes, but when you look through the hit list, you may notice that you don't see an item record listed. We hope to improve that later on so you can at least see that it is lost or missing, but for now, just know it looks a bit odd.
There is a delay before newly purchased items are searchable within One Search.
