Library Resources

From the library home page you have access to a series of resources to help with disease research. Key resources to consider include:

  • Under Related Resources, try Gale Academic OneFile. Once in this resource, search using "Subject Guide Search", be sure to limit results to full-text and peer reviewed journals. When you search for your disease, click the Subdivisions link to view different Topic areas.
  • Under the Find Articles, Books, Ebooks, Videos and More link (left side of the page) click on the heading titled Nursing and Health. In this section, you will find a number of resources such as Health Source:Nursing/Academic Edition and CINAHL Plus with Full Text to use for further journal research.
  • Under Find Articles, Books, Ebooks, Videos and More, try Ebook Central or EBSCOhost eBooks which gives you access to thousands of electronic books. Electronic books cover many aspects of disease and are often the best source for historic background information.
  • Also under Find Articles, Books, Ebooks, Videos and More, try the Nursing Reference Center. This resource contains information on diseases and conditions.
