Search tip #1: On the beginning search page, always select the "Full Text" box and if you want to view only Scholarly articles, also select the "Peer Reviewed" box.
Search tip #2: You may want to expand your search to include some subject specific databases. To do this, select the "Advanced Search" link on the beginning search page and click on the link titled: Searching: Academic Search Complete (and 3 more). A list called "Select Databases to Search" will come up. Choose the relevant databases for your topic and click on Select. Depending on your topic, some suggestions would be the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection or the Communication and Mass Media Complete databases.
