Open Pedagogy

What is Open Pedagogy?stick figures appear to create idea together

There is not a single definition of "Open Pedagogy." Rather it brings together overlapping elements of several educational pedagogies and practices that focus on learner engagement, mixes in areas of social justice to increase access and viewpoints, and encourages students to be not just consumers, but creators of content in their coursework.

Consent with Care

While Open Pedagogy gives students an opportunity to publish and manage copyright on their intellectual property, inherently included is the option to NOT publish openly or to publish, but remain anonymous.

It is crucial to have a classroom conversation around the implications of licensing structures.
